Jazz and Art on Main coming to Cedar Park

A new event featuring jazz musicians and an eclectic group of artists is coming to Cedar Park on April 28 and 29, said Hailey Dulde, city of Cedar Park recreation program specialist.

Jazz and Art on Main will open to the public at 6 p.m., April 28 with booths inside and outside of the Cedar Park Recreation Center, 1435 Main Street. The evening’s events close down at 9 p.m. but reopen the following day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free both days.

Artists will offer jewelry, paintings, stained glass, ceramics and original drawings.

The musical line-up will feature the Jazz Daddies, Trio Verde, Scott Simon, Musikatz, the Gabriel Santiago Trio, The New Orleans Jazz Band of Austin and the Silver Creek Jazz Band.

There will also be food vendors on site, including Austin Scoops and Blue Corn Harvest.

Tara McAlister, recreation program manager/camp director, said the city and the Parks and Recreation Department hope to make Jazz and Art on Main an annual event.
