Col. Daniel Wilson had been the operations officer for the II Marine Expeditionary Force, but is now being kept in the brig at Lejeune.

He was charged late last year with three counts of sexually abusing a child, nine counts of conduct unbecoming an officer, sexual assault, assault consummated by battery and absence without leave.

The victim is under the age of 16.

Wilson pled not guilty to all charges last Friday.

In an appearance before a military judge last Friday, his lawyers asked that he be released from the brig.

The judge has now denied that motion and Wilson's trial is scheduled for June 6th at Camp Lejeune.
