Syona Organic Bedding: Why it matters

Syona Home

We have become more in tune with organic eating, but do we think about the other items in our home? Would bedding have ever crossed your mind?

Typical bedding is exposed to an array of harmful chemicals, like pesticides and formaldehyde; both of which have been connected to severe and even lethal diseases, like cancer. We are sleeping in this stuff, bundling our babies and loved ones in it too.

I'm not one to promote mass panic on these subjects, but I strongly encourage people to make gradual changes in their daily lives.

Why Syona?

While organic bedding is growing in popularity, Syona Home is an established name that produces luxurious sheets, pillowcase and other bedding at a reasonable price.

High Quality

If you are buying organic sheets, you already know there is a considerably higher standard of care in that product. My Syona sheets have endured 45 washes in steaming hot water to this day (yes, I literally counted), and have not faded, unstitched or deteriorated in any notable way. That's more than I can say for any high end sheets I've used in the past.

The fabric is slightly silky while being extremely soft. I also have exzema and the sheets are actually soothing rather than irritating. This could also be from the lack of chemicals.

Making a Difference

Syona's foundation was built upon the need of sustainable practices for farmers in India. Farmers were suffering from pesticide exposure and loss of work due to the booming GMO industry; suicides among these people were rising as a dark side effect of both issues. Pesticides are linked to mental and physical issues.

Syona began fueling sustainable cotton farming in the area, putting the little guys back to work to make better, safer products. Syona cotton is 100% Fair Trade Certified and is grown with natural, safe methods.

Impact

Syona is changing lives of those in India, as well as preserving the health of its customers. They continue to give back, donating a chunk of their proceeds to charities that provide education, healthcare and water to developing countries.

Buying organic sheets is just one more way we can do more good for our world and for our families.
