All nominations are due on April 14. Access the digital nomination form atsmoy.militarytimes.com.

Winners will be flown with a family member or friend this July to Washington, D.C. Winners will also be honored with a ceremony on Capitol Hill, with guests including members of Congress and senior Pentagon officials. Each winner will also receive a scholarship award covering tuition and fees from Kaplan University.

Nominees must currently be serving on active duty or in the National Guard or reserves. Anyone is eligible to nominate. While filling out the form, please spend the most time filling out "The Brag Sheet." Key details highlighting outstanding service will help distinguish your nominee.

Created in 2001, the Service Members of the Year Awards honor service members who excel either on the job, in their communities, or both.

Remember, service members are some of the most humble people on the plant. They don't brag. That's why we rely on nominators like you to speak up and honor those who serve.

The editors of Army Times, Marine Corps Times, Navy Times and Air Force Times will select the winners, along with honorable mentions.
